Spontaneous combustion. A sudden explosion of joie de vivre. I don’t know how else to describe it. This display of Lila’s. Something she has done since she was a tiny pup. Her crazy loops.
Without prompting, Lila will burst into action. Circling full tilt with her body reshaping itself. Legs splayed and tail tucked. She loops and then launches herself high in the air…hurling herself straight at me! (I know, I know. Not good behaviour.) [read more below]
But whatever it is that overtakes her, it’s highly contagious. Her energy and excitement transmit and make me laugh and squeal with delight. She can’t help herself and neither can I.

My beautiful Marie also did that, we called it the “circle move”. We are currently waiting to get a puppy from Lilly. Really enjoy all your posts.

I’m very pleased to hear you’ve enjoyed dogdownunder…it has been a lot of fun to create. And that’s wonderful news about your puppy-to-be…he/she will bring you lots of joy (and probably more “circle moves”!).

I love your video. It makes me smile. I have a Lab that does the same thing; I got a second Lab and now they play this game together all the time. “Zoomies” is what another poster called it. I found out by experience that it’s always best to have two dogs; it’s really easier and more fun than one. That much doggie joy needs to be shared with another dog – not just us humanoids

Very pleased you enjoyed the video! And it is very tempting indeed to get a second dog. I am certain Lila would love it!

Went to see Ruth on the weekend and a first look at Carly who is three weeks old. Why stop at two when you can have six!

How exciting! I would love to have one of Lilly’s latest, but have to keep reminding myself that I’m barely keeping up with Lila!

I have a two year old male choc lab (rusty the wonder dog) who exhibits all the same crazy things as lila! Thanks for catching them on film — I watch them and remember all the silly things my boy did!

Lila is now 18 months old and still pretty silly…her biggest pleasure has been and continues to be stealing slippers! It’s funny how the puppy stuff can drive you crazy, but when it finally disappears, you miss it.
